Since 1996 members of the DSW staff have been providing instruction in the martial arts and in law enforcement in the Rockford area. We train a wide variety of students - beginner through advanced, young and the young at heart. DSW is the areas best in mixed martial arts. We are here to help you accomplish whatever it is you set out to do. Whether it is getting in great shape, learning self-defense, building confidence, relieving stress, or becoming the next ultimate fighter!

The Delarosa Submission Wrestling Academy Believes Children Are Our Future. This Belief Is Reflected In Our Little Grapplers Program For Children, Which Focuses On The Concept Of Being The Best You Can Be. We Teach Children The Philosophy Of "Walking Away" From A Confrontation, But To Defend One’s Self If Forced Into A Situation With No Other Options.

At The DSW Academy We Build Confidence, Self-Esteem And Encourage Self-Discipline In Our Children’s Curriculum. Self-Defense Is The Tool We Use To Achieve These Goals. In This Way, Before Children Acquire The Skills Of Self Defense, They Have Already Learned To Use Them Responsibly. Confidence Is Achieved By Developing The Ability "To Do." When Children Are Taught A Technique And Then, Through Practice, Can Perform It, They Develop Confidence. This Sense Of Confidence Transfers To All Areas Of The Child’s Life.

We Stress The Belief Of "Positive Affirmation." The Words "I Can, I Will, I Must" Are Commonly Heard Throughout Our School. When Children Believe In Themselves And Knowing They "Can Do It", It Makes Them Feel Good About Themselves.
